The fully redesigned 2025 Ford Maverick was named to Car and Driver’s 10Best and Editor’s Choice lists this year. Discover the benefits of this efficient, versatile compact pickup truck, which spotlights a redesigned front bumper, grille, and wheels.

Power and Performance

The Maverick is equipped with a 238-horsepower turbo-four with an eight-speed automatic or a 191-hp hybrid powertrain with a continuously variable automatic transmission. The gas version of this truck achieved a 5.9-second zero-to-60 in Car and Driver testing. Both offer standard front-wheel or optional all-wheel drive.

You can get the Maverick with either 17-inch or 19-inch wheels in several new styles. Exposed front tow hooks are available. The new-for-2025 Lobo trim adds performance brakes, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and sport-tuned suspension.

Towing and Hauling

Either powertrain can tow up to 2,000 pounds, which doubles if you add the optional Tow package. The 2025 Maverick has a 4’6″ bed with a maximum payload of 1,500 pounds. It includes a 12-volt or an optional 110-volt power outlet. You’ll also have six standard bed tie-downs in the base model and 10 in higher trims. Keep everything in place with the standard Flexbed organizer system.

Interior Space and Features

The Maverick comes as a four-door crew cab with seating for five. Standard features include remote keyless entry, cloth upholstery, and rear underseat storage bins.

Higher trims of this truck add power-adjustable front seats, ambient interior LEDs, a power moonroof, intelligent access with push-button start, and dual-zone automatic climate control. You can also customize the cabin with ActiveX upholstery, a power-sliding rear window, and heated front seats.

Connectivity Tech

Every Maverick model has a 13.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You’ll also have a standard Wi-Fi hotspot, an 8-inch productivity screen, and a six-speaker stereo with satellite radio. Available tech upgrades for the Maverick include a wireless charging pad and an eight-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system.

Safety and Driver Assistance

Stay secure in the Maverick with standard driver assistance tech like a rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking. Higher trims incorporate intelligent adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, lane centering, lane departure warning, hill descent control, and a 360-degree camera system.
