The legendary Ford Mustang gets a modern upgrade with the 2025 Ford Mustang, which has six trim levels and comes as either a coupe or convertible. Read on to learn how a legend has become modernized.

EcoBoost

The EcoBoost starts us off and is available in either a coupe or convertible variation. It comes equipped with a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 315 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. This is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, which comes with paddle shifters, launch control, and several selectable drive modes.

Notable exterior features include 18-inch aluminum wheels and LED projector headlamps. Inside the EcoBoost, you can find such luxuries as a six-way adjustable driver seat and plush cloth upholstery. On the dashboard, you will find a 12.4-inch digital instrument panel and a 13.2-inch centerstack infotainment touchscreen.

EcoBoost Premium

Next in line is the EcoBoost Premium, which adds a wealth of premium features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, a heated steering wheel, and heated and ventilated power-adjustable front seats. With a nine-speaker sound system and multicolor ambient interior lighting, you can take the party with you everywhere you go.

GT

The coupe-exclusive GT trim gets a power boost with a 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 480 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. The GT can be equipped with either a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission. This version of the Ford Mustang stands out with GT-specific front and rear styling and a dual exhaust with quad tips.

GT Premium

The GT Premium is available as a coupe or convertible and comes with all the features of the EcoBoost Premium, but with the 5.0-liter V8 engine of the GT. Additionally, the GT Premium comes with a sporty, leather-trimmed, flat-bottomed steering wheel and 19-inch silver-painted aluminum wheels.

Dark Horse

This version of the Ford Mustang comes equipped with an even more powerful version of the 5.0-liter V8 engine, which delivers a whopping 500 horsepower and 418 lb-ft of torque. The Dark Horse comes standard with an active exhaust, Brembo high-performance brakes, and the MagnaRide adaptive suspension.

Dark Horse Premium

The final trim in the Ford Mustang lineup comes with the more powerful 5.0-liter V8 engine and features a distinctive front and rear lower fascia and unique badging. Both versions of the Dark Horse are only available as a coupe and come with engine oil, transmission, and differential coolers.
