The supercharged V8 engine has a dry-sump oil system that maximizes engine speed, along with a newly revised air intake system and adaptive suspension dampers. 

Aerodynamic Elements

A semi-active suspension with dual ride heights is also standard. When you take the Mustang GTD to the track, you can activate the Track Mode to lower the suspension system by 40mm. The lower ride height improves the aerodynamics of the supercar so it can reach higher speeds with less air resistance.

Lightweight Body Frame

One reason the Mustang GTD has such awesome acceleration can be attributed to the lightweight carbon fiber body panels, which reduce the overall vehicle weight, so the engine doesn’t have to work as hard. The titanium exhaust system is also lightweight. Drivers can opt for upgrades like forged magnesium wheels and an underbody aerodynamic tray to reduce vehicle weight for even speedier performance.
