A Closer Look at the 2025 Ford F-150 Trim Levels: Building the Perfect Workhorse

The 2025 Ford F-150 is available in eight trim levels with three different cab sizes and bed lengths to choose from.

XL

Kicking off the Ford F-150 lineup is the rugged XL trim, equipped with a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 engine that delivers 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. The base trim of the Ford F-150 comes ready to get to work with 17-inch steel wheels, LED headlights, and a Class IV trailer hitch.

STX

The STX trim comes with the standard features of the XL trim but gets an 18-inch black-painted wheel upgrade. A major highlight of the STX trim is its 12-inch Digital Productivity screen, which displays the STX’s eight dynamic drive modes.

XLT

The XLT trim builds upon the XL trim and brings more power to the lineup with a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 430 horsepower and 570 lb-ft of torque. The XLT trim comes standard with Ford’s Pro Trailer Backup Assist, which is a knob-based steering system that makes backing up and hitching a trailer a breeze.

Lariat

Next in the Ford F-150 lineup is the Lariat trim, which comes with a host of premium features. Inside, you will find ambient interior lighting, heated and ventilated seats with ActiveX leather trim, and an eight-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

King Ranch

The King Ranch is a work truck that is suited for royalty with leather-trimmed, multi-contour, heated, and ventilated front bucket seats. Rear passengers can relax in a leather-trimmed, heated second-row bench seat. This seat can also be folded down in a 60/40 split.

Platinum

The Platinum trim builds upon the Lariat trim with 20-inch black-painted wheels, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, and the Pro Access Tailgate, which is an innovative tailgate that swings out to the side.

Tremor

If you are looking for an off-road-ready truck, consider the Tremor trim, which comes standard with 33-inch all-terrain tires and four-wheel drive. Other notable features include skid plates, a uniquely tuned off-road suspension, and a locking rear differential.

Raptor

The Raptor trim is the Ford F-150 trim built for the true adventure enthusiast, with its standard high-output turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine and four-wheel drive with low-range gearing. It also gets an upgrade to 35-inch all-terrain tires and a special off-road suspension.
